There I was, opening Newgrounds, when I see a picture of Maple's face. "Oh," I think, "Cobatsart has made some new Maple art, what hilarity will ensue in this one I wonder." Only to become distraught as I scrolled further and further down the page, each word cutting into me like a knife. This is like modern analogue horror: it started off looking all fun and silly, and than became traumatic. I should not be able to apply that metaphor to Maple Willowind.

Urm, ackshually, that's technically TWO colors, not one. Unless, like some kind of color amateur, you don't count black as color. I am NOT a color amateur, I am a color expert, and thus I understand that black is, in fact, a color. I am expecting a formal apology and letter to the IBC (International Board of Colors, which I only explain because, clearly, you are but a color amateur).
